Alan Fraser launched his 2012 European season with The First European Alan Fraser Piano Institute @ Stuttgart to be held at Freies Muzik Zentrum. Four days of intensive daily lessons with Professor Fraser augmented with daily Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons and lectures on crucial aspects of piano technique based on themes from The Craft of Piano Playing and Honing the Pianistic Self-Image. Another Institute will be held in Haarlem in May.
Other European events include workshops in Hirschberg (near Heidelberg), Germany, and at the Bavarian Music Academy, Marketoberdorf, Germany – dates to be announced.

Alan Fraser teaches an annual intimate master class at the Jens Schlichting Studio. The group is congenial, the work stimulating and empowering – a combination of individual lessons observed by the whole group and daily Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons. Practice facilities are available, and meals are prepared by the Kay family girls – it’s a real family atmosphere that promises to repeat itself this year… Date to be announced…

…takes place in a castle in Marketoberdorf, where students come together for individual lessons, chamber music, piano four hands, Feldenkrais lessons, and this year jazz and flamenco dance as well! Participants live, eat and study in an ancient Bavarian castle only a half-hour drive from the famous castle of King Ludwig II. An opportunity for lessons with Alan Fraser in the setting of a true artistic colony. Location. Registration Information. 2012 date to be announced…
